The State of the Black Union is an annual event in the United States to consider issues of particular relevance in the African American community, featuring prominent speakers such as John Conyers, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton[1]. Some politicians, such as Bill Clinton, also attend.
It was to occur in New Orleans in 2008.[2]
